Legalization

The Biggest Cannabis Trends of 2021

LOOKING AHEAD – LOOKING BACK

Holy smokes! Is it almost 2022 already? Time flies when you’re having fun. Speaking of fun, 2021 was quite the doozy. So much is happening in the industry – before we jump into 2022 let’s take a quick look back at the big trends that are shaping the weed industry.

Legalization!

Cannabis is getting closer and closer to a federal legalization. Democrats and Republicans alike are pressing forward with bills that will both decriminalize marijuana and make it legal for cannabis markets to set up business throughout the country. State by state, local governments are voting to open their borders and their minds to a new era for cannabis.

A Cannabis & Psychedelic Renaissance

Alcohol is slowly falling out of favor amongst young adults as cannabis and psychedelics are becoming more popular. We can certainly attribute the rise in cannabis to more states legalizing its usage and as the taboo begins to fade nationwide.

The new innovations around edibles and vaping are driving the increased usage as consumers are discovering their favorite way to access its magical and medicinal benefits.

But there is also psychedelic renaissance taking place – spurred by the positive data coming from their use in clinical studies. Psychedelics such as psilocybin, LSD and MDMA are being tested to help with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Night, Night!

A new cannabinoid called CBN is starting to catch on. Over the past year, cannabis companies have been leveraging this compound’s ability to help you get a good night sleep.

Although CBN has been around for over 90 years, the process for extracting it has just now gotten easier, making it more readily available. This is great news for light sleepers everywhere!

Here’s to more Zzz’s with CBN in 2022.

High Tech

Technology solutions are taking off in cannabis. Everything from online menus to automation to curbside delivery to at-home delivery, tech solutions are rewiring the industry to make it more seamless for all.
